Job summary

Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking a detail-focused Billing & Claims Administrator to join our Support Services Hub. You will help prepare, validate and administer project billing and completion claims across a diverse portfolio, collaborating with Project Managers, Site Coordinators and finance to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

The role suits an administration professional with billing, invoicing or claims experience who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in billing, invoicing, claims administration or financial administration.
• Experience supporting project, operational or service delivery environments.
• Knowledge of billing documentation, financial records and invoicing processes.
• Experience using financial systems or ERP platforms such as JDEGS or similar systems.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Effective stakeholder communication and relationship building capabilities.
• Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Preparing invoices and completion claims in line with contract requirements.
• Reviewing and validating supporting documentation including timesheets, purchase orders, invoices and project records.
• Maintaining accurate billing records within financial systems including JDEGS.
• Monitoring billing activities and identifying discrepancies, documentation gaps and claim issues.
• Providing billing administration support to project and operational teams.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance billing processes and service delivery.
