NGARE EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD is seeking a NDIS-registered Behaviour Support Practitioner to lead a multidisciplinary team in Newcastle, NSW. You will develop and implement BSPs, supervise staff, and collaborate with OTs, Speech Pathologists, Physios and RNs to deliver person-centred care in the community.

Qualifications

• NDIS-registered Behaviour Support Practitioner at Proficient level or above with 4+ years of clinical experience.
• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Nursing.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills; understanding of Restrictive Practices and BSPs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement evidence-based BSPs informed by functional behavioural assessments.
• Reduce/eliminate restrictive practices in line with regulatory frameworks and NDIS Practice Standards.
• Provide leadership, operational and clinical support to direct reports.
• Collaborate with OTs, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists and RNs; support staff training in BSP implementation.
• Liaise with families, carers and coordinators to ensure BSPs are practical and person-centred.

About the role:

• Develop and implement evidence-based plans, informed by functional behavioural assessments.
• Reduce / eliminate RPs in accordance with current regulatory frameworks, and NDIS Practice Standards.
• Provide leadership / operational and clinical support to direct reports.
• Work alongside OTs, Speechies, Physios and RNs, sharing knowledge and supporting staff training in the safe implementation of BSPs.
• Liaise with families, carers and support coordinators to ensure BSPs are practical and person-centred.

What you will bring:

• NDIS-registered Behaviour Support Practitioner at Proficient level or above, with at least 4 years’ clinical experience
• A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Nursing
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills
• Sound understanding of Restrictive Practices and behaviour support planning
• A current driver’s licence and First Aid Certificate, plus an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
