Job summary

Bluecrest Care invites an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our growing multidisciplinary allied health team in the Hills District and Western Sydney. Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher degree in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Social Work, or related field.
• Current registration with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (or working towards Advanced).
• Experience conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments and PBS plan formulation.
• Understanding of NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework and restrictive-practice protocols.
• Ability to work autonomously in community settings within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments, observations, and clinical interviews across clinic, home, school, and community settings.
• Design, implement, and review Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS rules and human-rights frameworks.
• Formulate fading plans for restrictive practices and assist with state authorisation requirements.
• Deliver person-centered training to participants, families, support coordinators, and care teams.
• Participate in team case conferences, peer reviews, and multidisciplinary planning sessions.
• Maintain clinical documentation, billing tracking, progress notes, and NDIS reporting.
• Deliver tailored psychological support and cognitive/emotional evaluations aligned with participant goals.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team, managing an existing caseload while supporting the growth of our services. You will work within a collaborative and supportive environment with access to quality supervision, professional development, and opportunities for career progression. A background in Psychology alongside behaviour support is highly advantageous, with opportunities to deliver integrated psychological interventions and therapy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments, observations, and clinical interviews across clinic, home, school, and community settings
• Design, implement, and review evidence-informed Behaviour Support Plans adhering to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission rules and human-rights frameworks
• Formulate clear fading plans for regulated restrictive practices, assisting with clinical panels and state authorisation requirements where applicable
• Deliver practical, person-centred training to participants, families, support coordinators, and care teams on proactive strategies, de-escalation, and plan implementation
• Participate in team case conferences, peer reviews, and multidisciplinary planning sessions
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation, billable tracking, progress notes, and NDIS reporting
• Deliver tailored psychological support, cognitive/emotional evaluations, and individual therapy modalities aligned with participant goals

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Social Work, or a related discipline
• Current registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Proficient or working towards Advanced level)
• Demonstrated experience conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments and formulating PBS plans
• Clear understanding of the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework and restrictive practice protocols
• Ability to work autonomously in the community while functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Check
• Valid Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
