Avina is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team across Brisbane West, Ipswich and Toowoomba regions. You will deliver Positive Behaviour Support within diverse settings, including homes, schools, and community environments, with telehealth options where appropriate.
You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, have flexible, person‑centred autonomy over your week, and access strong clinical supervision and a supportive national network.
At Avina, we're a national allied health and behaviour support organisation with 400+ clinicians supporting communities across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
We deliver Positive Behaviour Support, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Physiotherapy and other allied health services across the lifespan.
Our values guide how we work:
Progressive | Curious | Respectful | Collaborative | Informed | Purposeful
About the Role We’re looking for a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team across Brisbane West, Ipswich and through to Toowoomba.
Depending on where you’re based, your caseload could include areas such as Graceville, Indooroopilly, Jindalee, Springfield, Ripley, Ipswich, Gatton, Lockyer Valley, Toowoomba and surrounding communities.
This is a broad service region, but you won’t be expected to travel across all of it. Wherever possible, we’ll build your caseload around where you live, helping keep travel practical and giving you genuine flexibility over your working week.
You’ll work primarily across participants' homes, schools and community environments, with telehealth options where appropriate. Clinicians closer to Brisbane can also access our Graceville clinic for appointments, focused work and team connection.
We’re open to Proficient, Advanced and Specialist Practitioners who are currently considered suitable by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Flexibility Without Working Alone Our team is spread across a large geographical area, so we’ve built connection into how we work.
You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team of 11 clinicians, with access to OT, Speech Pathology, Psychology and other allied health colleagues across a wide range of clinical experience.
The team connects through monthly MDT meetings, Teams channels, 1:1 support, clinical supervision and peer supervision groups, alongside face-to-face catch-ups where possible.
New clinicians can also access shadowing and reverse shadowing opportunities, helping you build relationships, learn from your peers and settle into your caseload.
If you’re looking for a BSP role where you can work closer to home, have genuine autonomy over your week and still have a multidisciplinary team behind you, we’d love to hear from you.
