If you're looking to begin your career in Positive Behaviour Support through the IBIS pathway, Avina's Graduate Program is designed to help you develop the practical skills, clinical reasoning and confidence required to become a capable Behaviour Support Practitioner.
Your graduate year will support you to develop the foundational skills required for evidence-informed Positive Behaviour Support, including:
As your capability develops, you’ll progressively work with participants across home, school and community environments. You’ll learn to conduct assessments, develop evidence-informed Behaviour Support Plans, work collaboratively with participants and their support networks, and build the skills required to deliver safe, ethical and person-centred Behaviour Support.
We're interested in graduates with relevant tertiary qualifications and eligibility to enter Behaviour Support through the IBIS pathway.
You won’t be expected to become an experienced practitioner overnight. Our goal is to give you the foundations, exposure, supervision and practical experience to progressively build your confidence and capability throughout your first year.
