Job summary

Akaysha Energy is seeking engineers to help operate and optimise a large-scale battery portfolio. You will contribute to embedding an ISO 55000-aligned Asset Management System across multiple assets and support the transition from construction to operations.

You will investigate operational issues, review design deliverables, and collaborate with internal teams and service providers to improve reliability, safety and performance of the assets.

Qualifications

• Strong technical understanding of BESS and power system equipment including transformers, switchgear, protection systems and inverters.
• Ability to investigate technical issues methodically and translate findings into practical solutions.
• Confidence reviewing technical documentation, drawings and engineering deliverables to identify risks.
• Sound engineering judgement balancing safety, reliability, commercial outcomes, and operational practicality.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and embed our Asset Management System across a growing fleet of battery assets.
• Support technical troubleshooting and root cause investigations when operational issues arise.
• Bridge the gap between construction and operations by supporting design reviews, handovers, commissioning and operational readiness activities.
• Work with internal teams, OEMs and service providers to improve asset reliability, performance and maintenance outcomes.
