Job summary

Private Energy Partners Pty is seeking an Operations and Asset Manager to lead the Supernode Battery Energy Storage System in Brendale, Australia. The role focuses on safe, reliable, and commercially optimized performance across the asset lifecycle, guiding the project from construction through to commercial operations and ensuring contracted performance and revenue targets are met.

Qualifications

• Strategic leadership in projects with commercial risk and long-term service agreements.
• Electrically qualified engineer or technologist with substantial heavy industry/energy operations experience.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and manage diverse workloads.
• Desirable: lithium‑ion battery tech, AEMO market operations, and familiarity with ISO 55001, SCADA, CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Supernode BESS to maximise availability (>98%), reliability and efficiency.
• Develop and implement preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies.
• Manage OPEX budgets and support CAPEX forecasting while pursuing cost-optimisation.
• Ensure safety and compliance with WHS legislation, environmental approvals, and CIRMP, addressing BESS-specific risks.
• Lead the transition from EPC construction to full commercial operations and handover.
