Job summary

Akaysha Energy is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Melbourne to lead utility-scale BESS projects from development through handover. In this hybrid role reporting to the General Manager, Delivery, you will oversee budgets, schedules, and stakeholder interfaces.

You will coordinate with EPCs, OEMs and network providers, build strong relationships, and drive safe, on-time delivery while balancing technical and commercial outcomes. This is a global team delivering impactful energy projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with BESS/grid projects and EPC coordination.
• Strong leadership across technical, commercial and regulatory interfaces.

We built the world's most powerful battery, the 850MW Waratah Super Battery, and now we want a Senior Project Manager to help us build even more BESS Assets.

Akaysha build, own, and operate our assets. We don't hand a project to someone else once it's approved. The people who design a battery site are the same people who help build it, optimise it and solve the challenges that come with operating it every day.

In this hybrid role, reporting to the General Manager, Delivery, you’llbe accountable for the end-to-end delivery of Akaysha Energy’s utility-scale battery energy storage projects. You will provide leadership across complex contractual, technical, and stakeholder interfaces.

What you'll do

• Take the lead on utility-scale BESS projects from development through construction, commissioning and handover
• Bring teams, contractors and partners together to keep projects moving safely and successfully
• Own budgets, schedule, risk and delivery performance
• Work closely with EPC contractors, OEMs, network providers and stakeholders to navigate challenges and unlock solutions
• Lead and support your project team, creating clarity, momentum and shared accountability
