Job summary

Outback Batteries seeks an energetic Battery Assistant Branch Manager in Toowoomba to lead daily store operations, assist customers and manage stock. You will be the first point of contact for sales and basic installations, with on-the-job training available for battery installations.

A minimum of 3 years retail or customer service experience is required, with preferred background in automotive parts. A current forklift and driver's licence are beneficial for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years retail or customer service experience.
• Prior experience in automotive parts sales and trade is highly desirable.
• Technical knowledge and experience with 6/12/24/48V systems would be a great advantage.
• Must hold a current driver's licence.
• Australian resident; available to work on Saturdays and some public holidays.
• Must successfully clear a national police check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, thorough customer service with tailored solutions.
• Face-to-face sales and for simple installations of our battery products.
• Assist Branch Manager in managing store operations and stock levels.
• Oversee inventory control, stock orders, and inter-branch orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing retail environment.
• Lead and delegate tasks to store staff to ensure productivity.
