Simplot Bathurst is offering a 4-year Electrical Apprenticeship at our Bathurst facility, with a pathway to the Cert III Electrotechnology upon completion. You will join a skilled maintenance electrical team on a Monday-Friday day shift, gaining hands-on experience with a broad range of equipment.

The program includes mandatory TAFE blocks, safety-focused training, and opportunities for career development within a global food manufacturing leader.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace.
• Ideally completed a school-based electrical qualification (Cert II).
• Genuine interest in electrical systems, automation or industrial technology.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to learning.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to safety initiatives and maintain 100% commitment to safety in the workplace.
• Learn industry best practice in preventative maintenance and breakdown repair of electrical equipment and control systems.
• Attend mandatory TAFE training blocks throughout the apprenticeship.
• Develop fault-finding skills and use a range of hand tools.
• Use CMMS and learn process automation and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering and Production teams on maintenance activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
