Job summary

IntoWork in Devonport is offering an electrical apprenticeship that combines on-the-job training with theory at TasTAFE. You will join a team of qualified tradespeople, performing scheduled maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment.

The program develops practical skills while you gain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Electrotechnology. Essential criteria include a current driver's licence, a White Card, strong maths and a commitment to safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Motivation and genuine interest in the electrical industry.
• Excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a team and follow complex instructions.
• Positive attitude and self-motivation to learn on-the-job, as an apprentice.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with hand tools.
• Good presentation and ability to positively represent the host.

Responsibilities

• Undertake scheduled maintenance and repair of a range of equipment.
• Work alongside a team of qualified tradespeople.
• Complete apprenticeship milestones with support from the host employer.
• Adhere to safety and WHS requirements and on-the-job instructions.
