Job summary

Simplot Bathurst is offering a 4-year Electrical Apprenticeship with a pathway to a nationally recognised Cert III Electrotechnology. You’ll join a team focused on safety, quality and career development while learning on high‑tech equipment at a busy Bathurst facility.

The program features base rates up to 58% higher than the award, comprehensive training blocks, and a toolkit provided to set you up for success from day one.

Qualifications

• Commitment to health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace.
• School-based electrical qualification, such as Cert II in Electrotechnology.
• Genuine interest in electrical systems, automation or industrial technology.
• Hands-on problem-solving with a proactive learning approach.

Responsibilities

• Support safety initiatives and uphold safety, health and wellbeing.
• Learn preventive maintenance and breakdown repair of electrical equipment.
• Attend mandatory TAFE training blocks during the apprenticeship.
• Develop fault-finding, tool usage and CMMS skills.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and production teams.
• Maintain knowledge of materials handling, pumps, drives and control systems.
