Job summary

Hyne Timber is seeking two motivated 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprentices to join our Tumbarumba Mill maintenance team. You’ll gain hands-on experience with a wide range of equipment in a large-scale manufacturing environment while completing your apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Currently completing a 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprenticeship.
• Willingness to develop skills in electrical maintenance and automation.
• Commitment to safety and working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical experience across plant and equipment while completing apprenticeship training.
• Assist with preventative maintenance activities and inspections.
• Troubleshoot faults and perform breakdown maintenance.
• Support motors, drives, control systems and PLCs in a manufacturing setting.

What You'll Be Doing

Working with our maintenance team, you'll gain practical experience across a variety of plant and equipment while continuing your apprenticeship training.

You'll Assist With

• Preventative maintenance activities
• Electrical inspections and testing
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Breakdown maintenance
• Motors, drives and control systems
• Industrial automation and PLC systems
• Continuous improvement projects

About You

• Are currently completing a 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprenticeship
• Have a strong commitment to safety
• Are keen to learn and develop their skills
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Hold a current driver's licence (preferred)
