Job summary

PKF Australia Limited in Perth seeks an Accountant to join our growing Business Advisory Services team. You will work with Senior Accountants, Managers and Partners to gain exposure to a diverse client base while developing your technical accounting and taxation skills.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification in progress, or willingness to commence.
• 2+ years' experience in business advisory, tax or accounting in a professional services environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience with accounting platforms such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar.
• Proactive mindset with continuous improvement and using technology to improve outcomes.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality client service within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns and BAS for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations and month-end accounting activities.
• Complete payroll tax and other compliance obligations within statutory deadlines.
• Analyse financial information and assist clients with accounting and taxation matters.
• Liaise with clients, the ATO and other stakeholders to support client outcomes.
• Manage your workflow and deadlines to ensure high-quality work is delivered accurately and on time.
• Utilise accounting technologies and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and processes.
• Continue developing your technical accounting, taxation and advisory knowledge through ongoing learning and professional development.

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to join our growing Business Advisory Services team.

Working closely with Senior Accountants, Managers and Partners, you will gain exposure to a diverse range of clients and industries while developing your technical accounting and taxation skills. This role offers the opportunity to build strong client relationships, take ownership of your work and establish a solid foundation for a successful career in business advisory.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns and Business Activity Statements for a diverse portfolio of clients.

About you
