Job summary

PKF Australia Limited in Port Stephens is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Business Advisory Team. While the title says accountant, you will act as a true business adviser, addressing the full spectrum of challenges a business owner faces and contributing to the firm's growth.

You will move away from pure compliance work, build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues, and thrive in a busy environment with a broad workload.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in business advisory services within a chartered accounting environment.
• CA / CPA qualification (or studying).
• Strong technical knowledge with Excel proficiency.
• Excellent client interaction and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Team player capable of working at pace, collaboratively and autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT or payroll tax returns.
• Prepare sophisticated management reports.
• Identify client needs and source value-added services.

Key responsibilities

We're looking for a Senior Accountant who wants to do more than just prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS, FBT or payroll tax returns. We're looking for someone that goes beyond the numbers. Whilst compliance and tax planning is a service we offer our clients, they seek out our advice for much more than that. • Identifying clients' needs and value-added services that we can provide to a client and understanding how to source the right person to address those needs.
• Preparing sophisticated management reports.

• Ideally at least 4 years experience in business advisory services within a chartered accounting environment.
• CA / CPA Qualified (or studying).
