Job summary

InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach is recruiting a Bar Supervisor for its newly refurbished pool bar. You will oversee daily pool bar operations, deliver exceptional guest service and maintain high standards of food and beverage service in a luxury coastal setting.

Join our team to lead, coach and train staff, ensure RSA and WHS compliance, manage stock, and drive beverage revenue while minimising waste. Flexibility for evenings, weekends and public holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a bar, pool bar, restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including cocktail service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Current NSW RSA certification.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• WSET qualification is an advantage (or equivalent wine and beverage certification) preferred.
• Qualifications in Hotel Management, Business and/or Food & Beverage related field preferred
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster – evenings, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job

Working as Bar Supervisor in our newly refurbished pool bar, you will bring energy and exceptional service to our luxury poolside experience. You will lead the day-to-day operations of the pool bar, ensuring outstanding guest experience, a high standard of food and beverage service, and a safe, welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

What we need from you

• Must have valid work rights in Australia (sponsorship is not possible)
• Previous supervisory experience in a bar, pool bar, restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including cocktail service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• WSET qualification is an advantage (or equivalent wine and beverage certification) preferred, with a strong knowledge of wine and spirits and demonstrated learning in the beverage industry.
• Qualifications in Hotel Management, Business and/or Food & Beverage related field preferred
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster – evenings, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job
