Job summary

InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach is seeking a Bar Supervisor for our luxury pool bar. You will lead day-to-day operations, ensure exceptional service, maintain safety standards, and create a welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Role requires strong leadership, RSA certification, and experience in hospitality. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are expected to support a high-volume poolside service.

Qualifications

• Minimum supervisory experience in a bar or hospitality setting.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Valid NSW RSA certification.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of food & beverage operations and wine/beverage service.
• Strong organization and multitasking in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily pool bar operations to maintain service standards.
• Lead, coach and motivate the team to deliver memorable guest experiences.
• Conduct briefings, training and performance feedback sessions.
• Ensure compliance with RSA, WHS and company standards.
• Monitor stock levels, ordering and inventory control.
• Drive beverage sales through product knowledge and upselling.
• Handle guest enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Maintain presentation standards across bar and pool deck.
• Support revenue growth while minimising waste.
