Job summary

Ocean Beach Hotel invites a dynamic Bar Manager to join our Perth venue on a casual basis under the HIGA General Award. You will lead bar staff, supervise shifts, and ensure service excellence in a busy hospitality setting.

You will train and develop the team, promote the venue to attract new customers, and uphold OH&S standards while maintaining a safe, clean environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Approved Managers Certificate and National Police Clearance
• Experience with POS, preferably the H & L System
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Demonstrated organisational abilities and self-motivation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Experience in a similar role and roster including day/night shifts and weekends

Responsibilities

• Open and close the hotel, supervise and train staff, manage shifts
• Provide friendly, professional service and lead by example
• Promote the venue and brainstorm ideas to attract new clientele
• Ensure OH&S compliance and maintain a safe, clean venue
• Manage Bar and Cellar operations, assist in stock control and minimise wastage
• Support other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations
