Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Sydney CBD is seeking a Bar Manager to lead the bartending and floor service teams, delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving revenue. You will oversee beverage operations, margins and inventory, manage peak periods, recruit and coach staff, and ensure compliance with liquor licensing, RSA and WHS requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hospitality / Hotel Management or equivalent experience.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
• Proven experience leading and developing hospitality teams.
• Experience managing a high-volume bar, rooftop, entertainment or similar venue.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the bartending and floor service teams.
• Set clear expectations for performance, behaviour, presentation, service and accountability.
• Lead with integrity and accountability to drive a high-performance culture.
• Recruit, onboard, train and coach team members to improve performance and service standards.
• Manage revenue, labour costs, beverage margins and inventory, with a strong focus on guest experience.
