Job summary

Recruit Shop Pty Ltd invites applications for a Venue Manager role at a premier waterfront venue in Darwin. You will take ownership of day-to-day operations, actively behind the bar and leading a team of about 10 staff to deliver outstanding service with a relaxed coastal vibe.

Reporting to directors, you will manage rosters, recruitment, training and stock control, while driving promotions and events to enhance guest experiences in a full-time capacity on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience as Bar Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong cocktail preparation and beverage knowledge.
• Commitment to high customer service standards.
• Experience rostering, recruitment, training, stock control and POS systems.
• Self-motivated with sound judgement and hands-on leadership; RSA certification; availability for 38–45 hours weekly including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintain high service, presentation, safety and compliance.
• Work behind the bar and craft quality cocktails with consistency.
• Lead from the front during busy service and collaborate with kitchen team.
• Coach and motivate a team of approximately 10 staff.
• Manage rosters, recruitment and onboarding within labour budgets; handle ordering, stocktakes and POS reconciliation; minimise wastage.
• Bring fresh ideas for cocktails, promotions and events.
