Job summary

Hall & Prior Aged Care Group is seeking a hands-on Venue Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of a waterfront venue at Stokes Hill Wharf in Darwin. You will lead a team of about 10 staff and work actively behind the bar while collaborating with Directors to maintain exceptional service.

The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure safety and compliance, manage rosters and stock, and drive menu ideas and events, all in a relaxed coastal venue setting known for

Qualifications

• Experience as Bar Manager, Assistant Manager or strong Bar Supervisor.
• Strong cocktail preparation skills and beverage knowledge.
• Demonstrated commitment to high customer service standards.
• Experience rostering, recruitment, training, stock control and POS systems.
• Self-management, sound judgement and task follow-through.
• Positive, energetic leadership and leading by example.
• Current RSA certification and availability for 38–45 hours per week, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily venue operations with high service, safety and compliance standards.
• Active bar work and ensuring quality cocktails with consistency.
• Lead from the front during busy service and collaborate with kitchen team.
• Motivate and train a team of about 10 staff.
• Manage rosters, recruitment and onboarding within labour budgets.
• Handle ordering, stocktakes, POS and cash reconciliation to minimise wastage.
• Introduce fresh cocktail ideas, promotions and events.
