Responsibilities

• Inspect cleanliness and condition of equipment and production areas before starting work to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Assess quality and freshness of raw materials and measure ingredients according to production requirements.
• Prepare and portion pastry fillings and other ingredients for baking.
• Mix, knead, mature, cut, mould and shape dough and pastry products.
• Operate dough sheeting, moulding and biscuit-cutting machinery to meet specifications.
• Monitor oven temperatures and baking conditions for consistent quality.
• Coordinate preparation, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of baked goods.
• Apply glazes and decorate pastries using cream and icing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of fresh bread and bakery products, maintaining consistent product quality and presentation, and following food safety and hygiene standards. The Baker will work closely with the team to support smooth daily production, ensure products are prepared to a high standard, and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Previous experience in a similar role and a passion for baking are essential.

Task & responsibilities

Qualifications & experience

AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or equivalent work experience in related position. Minimum 1 year on expeirence in the related position.

Strong knowledge of baking methods, ingredients, and bakery production processes. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment while maintaining consistent quality and attention to detail.
