Job summary

Nine is seeking a Technical Lead to head the backend team responsible for the core streaming platform and APIs powering 9Now and Stan. This hands-on role focuses on building resilient, high-concurrency distributed systems while mentoring a high-performing engineering team.

You will write and review Golang, design cloud-native microservices on AWS, drive CI/CD, automate testing, and champion AI for instrumentation and reliability, with flexible hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Proven Golang development experience.
• Experience leading a technical team.
• Advanced cloud knowledge in AWS and distributed systems.
• DevOps mindset with infrastructure-as-code and monitoring.
• Strong security focus and AI-driven observability.
• Agile leadership to remove roadblocks.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend team and contribute hands-on Golang code.
• Design and own cloud-based distributed services and APIs.
• Drive CI/CD, automated testing, and staged rollouts.
• Line manage and mentor engineers for growth.
• Champion AI and automation for monitoring and infra.
• Collaborate with Product to align roadmaps.
• Resolve complex production issues via RCA.
