Job summary

BlueScope is seeking a Customer Service Officer for Orrcon Steel Distribution in Cairns, QLD. This permanent full-time role operates Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, supporting sales and service enquiries and managing quotes.

You will collaborate with internal teams to meet customer requirements, provide product and pricing advice, and foster long-term relationships while delivering a high level of service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service environment; B2B experience advantageous.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; SAP experience advantageous.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proactive relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers by phone and email, handling quotes and queries.
• Follow up on quotations and enquiries, converting to sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing, warehouse and sales to meet customer expectations.
• Nurture and grow relationships to uncover new business opportunities.
• Continuously look for ways to improve the customer experience and value proposition.
