Job summary

Jet Aviation Cairns Base is seeking a Procurement/Purchasing Officer to support aircraft maintenance by sourcing materials and ensuring timely delivery. The role is hands-on with a primary focus on purchasing, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values supplier relationships.

Experience in procurement, logistics or related operations is welcomed, and there is no strict requirement for an aviation background.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics or related operational environments.
• Strong supplier relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to expedite orders and manage urgent operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities for aircraft maintenance operations.
• Coordinate purchase orders with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Expedite orders to meet urgent maintenance requirements.
• Support inventory and cost control activities across purchasing processes.
• Coordinate freight and customs for incoming materials and shipments.
• Maintain accurate supplier and purchasing records.
• Resolve invoice, goods receipt and supplier discrepancies promptly.
• Support returns, warranty and exchanges as required.
