Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a capable Experienced Manager to oversee maintenance operations for the C-17 ASSC and Amberley Backshop at RAAF Amberley Base. You will ensure DASR Part 145 compliance, lead safety initiatives, and coordinate with quality and regulatory teams to sustain critical defence aviation programs.

The role requires Chartered status via Engineering Australia, 5+ years in aviation maintenance, and strong leadership and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• The ability to achieve Chartered status through Engineering Australia.
• At least 5 year' experience working in the aviation engineering and maintenance environment.
• Possess aircraft maintenance engineer qualifications and knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems is highly desirable.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skill.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
• Current or previous experience as a Part 145 Responsible Manager is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all maintenance carried out meets DASRs and MOE requirements.
• Work closely with Quality and Safety Managers to support quality and safety systems.
• Investigating and coordinating actions from quality compliance monitoring.
• Review and update BDA Part 145 and 21G command media.
• Manage the C-17 ASSC and Amberley Backshop regulatory environment under DASR Part 145 and Part 21G.
• Provide leadership and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
• Support the C-17 ASSC/Backshop MRO Services Operations Manager and contribute to effective operations.
