Job summary

Qantas Airways in Melbourne is seeking a Ground Instructor to deliver engaging training programs, assess competency against CASR and company standards, and promote a strong safety and learning culture in a regulated aviation environment.

You will collaborate with the Training team to ensure staff have the skills and confidence to perform safely, with opportunities to develop facilitation and coaching capabilities and contribute to ongoing workforce development.

Qualifications

Experience in instructional delivery or teaching, preferably in aviation or safety-critical environments.
Strong understanding of operational and emergency procedures.
Ability to translate technical information into engaging training.

Responsibilities

Deliver Cabin Crew ground training in accordance with approved training courseware, procedures, standards and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate engaging and effective learning experiences that meet trainee standards.
Conduct competency assessments according to approved criteria and training standards.
Monitor trainee performance and maintain company training standards.
Complete and maintain training records, assessments and reporting.
Prepare training facilities, equipment and materials to support training delivery.
Identify and escalate training issues, risks or faults as required.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of manuals, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with instructors and stakeholders to ensure consistent training outcomes.
Support broader training activities and initiatives as required.
