Job summary

Toll Group in Australia seeks a Head of Fixed Wing Engineering to lead all fixed wing engineering and fleet management across multiple locations from Brisbane. You will drive airworthiness, safety, and regulatory compliance while aligning engineering capability with business objectives and customer requirements.

The role requires senior leadership, CASA knowledge, and a track record of delivering high-performance engineering teams in EMS fixed wing operations.

Qualifications

• Advanced Diploma in Aviation Maintenance Management or equivalent
• Significant leadership in aviation engineering/maintenance
• Experience supporting EMS operations
• Strong knowledge of Australian civil aviation regs and airworthiness
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical information
• CASA Part 66 Licence
• Extensive EMS fixed wing and/or rotary wing experience
• Experience supporting King Air 260/350/360 and/or PC-24 aircraft

Responsibilities

• Lead all fixed wing engineering, maintenance and fleet management activities.
• Ensure ongoing airworthiness, regulatory compliance and operational readiness across the fleet.
• Provide strategic direction for engineering capability, systems and processes.
• Manage engineering resources, facilities, tooling, equipment and maintenance infrastructure.
• Ensure appropriately trained and competent personnel across engineering functions.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, efficiency and operational performance.
• Oversee engineering governance, risk management and CASA compliance.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, regulators and service providers.
• Champion a positive safety culture and WHS compliance.
• Lead, mentor and develop high-performing engineering teams across locations.
