Job summary

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) in Australia is seeking a Senior Airworthiness Engineer - Continued Operational Safety to provide expert advice on propulsion and mechanical systems, review standards and regulatory guidance, and support compliance with airworthiness requirements.

The role requires deep experience in airworthiness of in-service aircraft, strong knowledge of Australian aviation law and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver regulatory oversight,

Qualifications

8+ years of recent airworthiness experience.
Engineering degree eligible for Engineers Australia Professional Engineer category.
Knowledge of Australia’s Civil Aviation Act 1988 and CASRs/CARs.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality technical advice to the Manager, Continued Operational Safety.
Assist in developing procedures for certification and continuing airworthiness compliance.
Review references, reports and directives to draft Airworthiness Directives and Bulletins.
Represent CASA at forums and foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
Travel domestically and internationally as required.
Promote CASA values, safety, equity and environmental management.
