Job summary

Programmed is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic/Trade Assistant to support a busy aviation operation at Sydney Airport. You will service and repair ground service equipment, including heavy trucks, tugs, and light vehicles, across hydraulics, fitting, welding, and electrical troubleshooting.

The role offers a casual base rate of $45/hour plus OT and shift allowances, with Monday–Friday hours (6am–2:30pm) and potential permanency and future airline benefits.

Qualifications

• Boilermaker or welder background preferred.
• Experience with heavy vehicles and light vehicles.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, fitting, welding, or electrical troubleshooting.
• Fit, reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair ground service equipment.
• Work across hydraulics, fitting, welding, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
• Support a critical operation that keeps the airport moving.
