Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for its Maritime Division to lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers focused on autonomous systems and mission software. You will own architecture, development, and lifecycle management for software-enabled capabilities across vessels and mission platforms.

You will partner with a Technical Lead, coordinate roadmaps, and drive process improvements while ensuring delivery of value to end-users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a management position within a high performing technology organization.
• Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer across domains/technologies.
• Ability to own a software system, including stakeholder engagement, roadmap, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team of 4 - 10 members and mentor engineers from diverse backgrounds.
• Own end-to-end delivery of software-enabled capabilities within autonomous platforms.
• Architect scalable software and enable rapid capability evolution.
• Coordinate team roadmap/execution with other Anduril teams for reusable components.
• Develop and execute vehicle and mission software with full lifecycle testing and monitoring.
• Manage 6–18 month team roadmap and allocated budget.
• Identify and mitigate programmatic/technical risks with the Technical Lead.
• Model, communicate, and implement organizational vision and strategy.
