Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive end-to-end software delivery for autonomous maritime platforms. The role covers autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and off-board command and control across multiple product lines.

You will lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions supporting national security priorities. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive professional software engineer experience across multiple domains.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing and system design.
• Experience troubleshooting remotely deployed software systems.
• Ability to own software services, engage stakeholders, define requirements, and roadmap.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and grow the team.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Empathize with end-users and balance their needs with constraints in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers, optimizing value delivery.
• Design and implement scalable software with evolution paths for architecture and capability.
• Contribute to reusable software components across Anduril product lines.
• Develop software on- and off- robotic platforms using diverse technologies.
• Oversee development processes for vehicle and mission software lifecycle, testing and monitoring.
• Create test and simulation fixtures with hardware- and software-in-the-loop.
• Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
• Mentor Software Engineers from diverse backgrounds within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users and other teams.
