Job summary

Carel Global Partners in Canberra is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own delivery from tender to handover for commercial construction projects. You will lead a project team including Contracts Administrator, Project Coordinator and Site Manager, supported by a proactive senior management group.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Project Manager or senior Contracts Administrator in commercial construction.
Relevant qualification in construction management, engineering, or related discipline.
Strong commercial and contractual acumen with head/subcontract administration knowledge.
Ability to lead and develop a project team.
Confident communication and negotiation with clients and stakeholders.
Solid WHS knowledge and ability to manage construction programming.

Responsibilities

Lead the Contracts Administrator and Project Coordinator to deliver document control, procurement, subcontract and head contract administration, WHS, reporting and project handover.
Lead the Site Manager to deliver programming, subcontractor coordination, quality assurance, site safety, housekeeping and client liaison on site.
Identify and report shortfalls in performance to senior management.
Participate in performance reviews and development planning for the project team.
Oversee subcontractor payments and monitor purchase order allocations.
Prepare and status master and target programs and review short range programs before issue.
