Job summary

OMRON Automation and Robotics Australia is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to join our Victoria team. You will drive sales growth across North and West Melbourne and neighbouring regional territories, including Albury, with regular regional travel.

This role blends technical solutions selling with account management, requiring a commercial mindset, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to build long-term customer relationships across End Users, OEMs and system

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in technical sales or business development in industrial automation.
Strong commercial mindset with proactive opportunity identification.
Ability to engage with decision-makers and technical stakeholders.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Willingness to travel across Victoria including Albury.

Responsibilities

Own territory across North and West Melbourne and regional areas.
Build and strengthen relationships with End Users, OEMs and system integrators.
Identify, pursue and convert new customers and projects.
Deliver tailored technical and commercial solutions leveraging our automation portfolio.
Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and maintain CRM records.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customer solutions.
Regular customer visits and regional travel.
