Job summary

Golding Contractors is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician for South Walker Creek Mine, Queensland. The role operates on a 7/7 roster with day/night shifts. Accommodation, meals, and bus transport between camp and site are provided.

This long-term project has recently extended a five-year contract with SWC, offering stable employment. You will work in a safety‑conscious environment, supporting maintenance and repair of mining equipment and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology is required.
• Current LVR/CPR within the last 12 months.
• Current Drivers Licence and Coal Board Medical (or ability to pass).
• Experience with electric drive haul trucks and strong diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and maintenance of mining equipment on site and in workshops.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting to minimize production downtime.
• Complete maintenance administration accurately and timely.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings; adhere to safety standards.

We are currently seeking an experiencedAutoElectricianto join our team at South Walker Creek Mine, just 1.5 hours fromMackay.With a strong partnership in place with our client Stanmore, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing project that has recently secured afive-year contract extension until 2031.

This role operates on a7/7 roster, rotatingday and nightshifts.Accommodation, meals,andbus transportbetween camp and siteare provided.

Key Role Tasks

• Experience working on the following equipment:
• Graders 16, 24M
• Working as part of a team to ensure minimal downtime of production equipment
• Routine servicing and maintenance of all equipment both site workshop and field based
• Fault finding and trouble shooting
• Complete all maintenance administration requirements in a timely and legible manner
• Actively participate in toolbox and safety meetings
• Participate in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Work Method Statement Reviews

Role Requirements

• Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology
