Job summary

Janus Electric on the Central Coast is seeking a skilled Electrician to inspect, repair, install and modify electrical systems for the Side Battery and Charge & Change Station.

You will read blueprints, test equipment, and collaborate with trades to deliver safe, compliant electrification of heavy vehicles. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong problem-solving and the ability to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Year 12 High School Certificate and Completion of Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) as part of an apprenticeship.
• 5+ years of electrical experience with a valid driver's licence.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail; good communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

Janus Electric is revolutionising heavy transport by converting diesel trucks to electric and building a national swappable battery network. We are scaling fast and need a skilled, detail-oriented Electrician to help bring our next generation of zero-emission trucks to life at our Central Coast facility.

We are seeking for an Electricians who will be responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, installing, and modifying electrical components and systems in the Janus Electric Side Battery and Janus Charge & Change Station.

What You Will Do:

• Provide general labouring assistance to qualified tradespeople, contractors, and operators by operating hand and power tools.
• Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components, troubleshooting problems and making timely repairs.
• Perform all work in line with electrical codes, blueprints, and standards, testing systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
• Calibrate equipment to provided specifications and carry out preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components.
• Complete required documentation of repairs, service information, and parts used.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

What You Bring:

• Year 12 High School Certificate and Completion of Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) as part of an apprenticeship.
• 5+ years of electrical experience, with a valid driver's licence.
• Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams, with a solid working knowledge of electrical theory, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools associated with electrical work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to calculate basic mathematical problems.
• Great people and communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
• High level of mobility and willingness to work overtime as required.
