Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking an Audit Manager in Perth to lead diverse audit engagements across industries. You will guide high-performing teams, drive quality and client satisfaction, and ensure compliance with professional standards throughout the engagement.

The role focuses on building strong client relationships, delivering insights, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients and team members during the audit lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years’ experience audit experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong prioritising skills.
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Detailed working knowledge and application of Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards and other applicable legislation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues.
• Performs reviews of audit work.
• Reviews of financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and preparation of reports and opinions to management.
• Summarises the key areas of the engagement for the partner.
• Ensures completion of each assignment to a high quality standard, within budget and on or before deadlines.
• Conducting various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit.
• Together with partner negotiates fees and demonstrates commercial responsibility for profitability of each client.
• Contributes to meetings and is able to make effective presentations to staff and clients.
• Assisting with management and co-ordination of the audit team including training, mentoring and methodology compliance.
• Monitors staffing requirements and future resource planning issues; and
• Assists partners in business development and marketing activities.
