Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead audit engagements in the Perth practice. You will oversee project delivery, client interaction, and team performance, ensuring high-quality audit outcomes across diverse client portfolios.

CA qualification and strong regulatory knowledge are essential. You will mentor junior staff, contribute to practice development, and collaborate with senior leaders to drive client value and continuous improvement in audit delivery and risk

Qualifications

4–5 years external audit experience with team management.
CA qualified (or equivalent).
Strong working knowledge of the Corporations Act, Australian Accounting Standards and Australian Auditing Standards.

Responsibilities

Lead identification, assessment and resolution of complex technical accounting and auditing matters, escalating as needed.
Review financial statements and disclosures for compliance with standards and regulations.
Prepare client-facing audit outputs including reports and governance communications.
Manage multiple audit engagements, coordinating teams, timelines and resources for quality outcomes.
Mentor and train audit staff, upholding RSM methodologies and firm policies.
Support business development and client relationships in collaboration with Partners and Managers.
