Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead audit engagements in Perth. You will manage client delivery, coach team members and work with Senior Managers and Partners to oversee risk, quality and outcomes.

This role involves engaging with diverse client portfolios across sectors, including government, education, manufacturing, resources and health, with opportunities to advance toward Manager. RSM supports balance, collaboration and impact.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of external audit experience, including team management.
• CA qualified (or equivalent) and active membership.
• In-depth knowledge of the Corporations Act, Australian Accounting Standards, and Australian Auditing Standards.
• Strong communication and people skills with client-facing experience.
• Experience leading or supporting audit engagements and managing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, assessment and resolution of complex accounting and auditing matters.
• Review financial statements and disclosures for compliance with Standards.
• Prepare client-facing audit outputs and governance communications.
• Manage multiple audit engagements, coordinating teams and timelines.
• Mentor and support audit staff, upholding RSM quality standards.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
