Job summary

AVP AV Solutions in Brisbane is seeking a hands-on Service Technician to join a tight-knit team. You’ll handle reactive call-outs, planned maintenance and occasional installs, ensuring every system performs reliably.

The role requires strong AV hardware knowledge, good people skills and the ability to explain complex tech to clients. A company vehicle and ongoing training are provided to support career growth.

We’re a small, tight-knit team based in Brisbane. There’s no “that’s not my job” here, we lean on each other, we’ve got each other’s backs, and we’re genuinely proud of the work we do and the way we look after our clients.

Right now we’re looking for a solid Service Technician to join us. Not just someone with the right skills on paper we’re after a good human who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in their work, and actually likes dealing with people.

You’ll wear a few different hats, jump between reactive call-outs, planned maintenance, and the occasional install. Some days you’ll be elbows-deep in a system, other days you’ll be chatting with a client helping them understand why their meeting room wasn’t working.

If you’re reliable, technically capable, and the type of person who leaves a client’s office in better shape than when you walked in both the tech and the vibe then you’ll fit right in here.

Key Responsibilities

• Commissioning and programming of AV systems (audio, video, control, and networking)

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in the audio visual industry, particularly in commissioning AV systems
• Strong technical knowledge of AV hardware (displays, audio DSPs, video processors, control systems like Crestron/Extron/AMX, networking, etc.)
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset – you take ownership and get things done
• Excellent communication skills and a professional client-facing approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, tight-knit team
• Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (company vehicle/fuel card may be provided for the right candidate)
• Relevant certifications (e.g. Q-SYS, Extron, Crestron certification) are highly regarded
