Job summary

Bower Technology, Brisbane-based AV specialist, is hiring multiple Installation Technicians to install and configure commercial AV systems across Brisbane and South East Queensland. Prior AV experience is welcome, but not essential; we’ll train the right candidates.

Ideal applicants are hands-on, practical and committed to quality workmanship. You may be an AV, data, or electrical tradesperson, or from another technical field with strong manual skills. Valid White Card is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure AV systems including displays, projectors, LED walls, speakers, microphones, equipment racks and structured cabling.
• Set up and commission Microsoft Teams Room environments.
• Test and troubleshoot systems on-site and remotely.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of installation and service work.
• Represent the company professionally while working with clients, partners and subcontractors.

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for multiple technicians to join our team.

We already have a strong team of experienced senior AV technicians and are now looking to add people who want to develop their skills and build a career in the commercial AV industry.

Previous AV experience is welcome, but not essential.

We would particularly like to hear from:

• AV Technicians looking to develop their skills and experience
• LED / Digital Signage Installers
• Data / Communications Technicians
• Licensed Electricians
• Carpenters or other technically minded tradespeople
• People with strong practical skills and experience using hand and power tools

If you're smart, practical, reliable and willing to learn, we can teach you the AV side.

As an AV Installation Technician at Bower Technology, you'll work alongside experienced AV professionals installing and configuring commercial AV systems across Brisbane and South East Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure AV systems including displays, projectors, LED walls, speakers, microphones, equipment racks and structured cabling.

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally:

• Be genuinely interested in technology and willing to learn.
• Hold a valid driver's licence and White Card.

You may already be an AV technician, data technician, communications technician, electrician or carpenter, or come from another technical trade or industry that gives you the practical skills to succeed in AV.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

Any of the following would be beneficial but are not essential:

• Data or communications cabling experience.
• Electrical or trade qualifications.
• Open Cabling Registration.
• EWP or Working at Heights licence.
• Blue Card.
• AV industry certifications such as CTS, Crestron, Biamp or Q-SYS.
• Basic networking knowledge.
