Chartwells in Victoria is seeking a Kitchen Hand to support daily kitchen cleaning, hygiene, and food prep duties. The role involves assisting chefs, handling deliveries, and ensuring stock rotation and safe practices within a fast-paced environment.

Casual loading applies, with shifts largely aligning to school hours. The position emphasizes reliability, punctuality and a strong safety mindset, in a team-oriented setting near Kew with onsite parking and good work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a Working With Children Check.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen is highly valued.
• Eye for detail and time management are essential.
• Good understanding of basic food handling procedures and allergens.
• Able to work in a team and also unsupervised when required.

• Thorough cleaning of the kitchen, including dishes and floors.

The Position

• Thorough cleaning of the kitchen, including dishes and floors

• Assist with deliveries including pack away ensuring correct stock rotation processes are followed


• Adhere to health and safety procedures when caring out all tasks


• Assisting our Chefs with food preparation


• Cleaning dishes with a commercial dishwasher
