Um Holdings in Canberra seeks an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce Lead to embed community priorities in health workforce reform and lead systemic change toward anti-racist, culturally responsive approaches.

You will build partnerships with key Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders and provide high-level policy advice grounded in cultural determinants of health. The role is based in the Office of the Chief Allied Health Officer with a small, values-led team.

Qualifications

• This is an identified position requiring Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage and cultural capability.
• Working with Vulnerable People Check is required.
• Health-related qualifications and/or experience across health sectors preferred but not essential.
• Role involves face-to-face meetings with ACT-based stakeholders and requires Canberra residency for part of each week.

Responsabilités

• Build, establish and sustain relationships with local and national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders in health.
• Provide high-level culturally grounded policy advice on health workforce approaches.
• Scope, develop, implement and evaluate projects based on cultural determinants of health and Indigenous ways of knowing.
• Work with the ACT First Nations Health Workforce Collaborative under the Health Workforce Action Plan.
• Based in the Office of the Chief Allied Health Officer in a small, supportive team.
