Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (RN/M2A) to help lead a ward or service with a focus on safe, high-quality nursing and midwifery care in a regional health setting.

The role emphasizes workforce planning, leadership across multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing professional development in a supportive SA Health environment with relocation and living benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• At least 3 years post-registration experience or current classification as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
• Demonstrated competence in nursing/midwifery practice and supervision of less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in providing safe, high-quality care and leading the ward, unit or service.
• Promote continuity of care and support practice changes.
• Contribute to day-to-day management including staffing, rostering, performance, recruitment, leave and resource planning.

About the Role:

You will support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in providing safe, high-quality nursing and/or midwifery care and leading the ward, unit or service. You will promote continuity of care, support practice changes and contribute to day-to-day management including staffing, rostering, performance, recruitment, leave and resource planning.

About You:

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• At least 3 years post-registration experience or current classification as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
• Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing/midwifery practice and supervision of less experienced staff.
• Effective communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and contribute to quality improvement and contemporary healthcare practices.
