Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) invites applications for a Nurse Unit Manager RN3 at Modbury Hospital, Medical Unit. Lead day-to-day operations, ensure clinical governance and provide hands-on nursing leadership in a high‑complexity inpatient setting.

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

About the Role:

Modbury Hospital is looking for an experienced nursing leader to take on the Nurse Unit Manager role within its Medical Unit — a busy, high-complexity inpatient environment where strong clinical oversight and genuine team investment make a real difference to patient outcomes every day.

Your Role at Modbury

Reporting to senior nursing leadership within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN), you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Medical Unit, balancing clinical excellence with people management and service delivery. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing visible, hands-on leadership to nursing and support staff across the unit
• Driving patient safety, quality improvement, and compliance with clinical standards
• Managing rostering, workforce planning, and staff performance and development
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, person-centred care
• Promoting best practice care for patients with a diagnosis of dementia
• Embracing person centred practice in all aspects of the role

What You Bring

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
