Job summary

Take the lead in a pivotal role at the intersection of cyber security, strategic leadership and commercial performance. You will drive the development and implementation of cyber security frameworks, policies and controls, strengthen protection of critical systems and information, and provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders. You will also lead technology sourcing, vendor relationships and contract management to deliver secure, compliant and value-for-money outcomes. We are looking for a strategic and influential leader who brings:

• Strong cyber security expertise, including security frameworks, risk management, governance, compliance and incident response.
• A proven ability to develop and implement cyber security strategies, influence senior stakeholders and embed a strong security culture.
• Experience in technology procurement, vendor management, contract negotiation and supplier performance.
• Sound commercial judgement, balancing security and regulatory obligations with service quality, cost and delivery priorities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach to complex challenges.
• A commitment to building an inclusive, accountable and high-performing culture.
• Experience working within NSW Government, with a strong understanding of the NSW Cyber Security Policy, government procurement frameworks and relevant regulatory obligations, is highly desirable.
