Job summary

  • Temporary full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity for up to 2 years
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 + superannuation + leave loading

Our Cyber Security and Risk team is currently seeking to appoint a Security Governance Analyst in this newly created role. You’ll be responsible for shaping and managing IT security policies and systems, leading cyber security awareness initiatives, providing expert advice on security measures, and ensuring alignment with key standards and privacy regulations.

About the Role

  • Create and maintain IT security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Support and improve the organisation’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) using standards like ISO 27001, NIST, Essential 8, and NSW Cyber Security Policy.
  • Run training and awareness programs to boost staff knowledge of cyber security.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Security Policy Development: Ability to create and maintain IT security policies and procedures.
  • Security Frameworks Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, Essential 8, and NSW Cyber Security Policy.
  • Training & Awareness: Experience in running cyber security education programs for staff.

  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science, information and technology or related technical field and/or relevant experience.
