Job summary

Keyton in Victoria is seeking an energetic Assistant Village Manager to join our Highvale village team. You will help lead daily operations, implement programs, and ensure residents enjoy a safe, engaging, and well-managed community.

Reporting to the Village Manager, you’ll coordinate events, manage budgets, and build strong relationships with residents, families and staff, promoting wellbeing and exceptional service in a warm, people-first environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online applications.
  • Current First Aid Certificate & CPR or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day village operations and activities.
  • Implement operational plans and projects for the village.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with budgets, financial processing and procurement.
  • Support planning and execution of village events and social calendar.
  • Foster strong resident relationships and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to safe working environments for staff, contractors and residents.
  • Collaborate with the Village Manager to deliver exceptional resident experiences.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an energetic Assistant Village Manager to join our friendly team at Highvale.

In this role, you’ll be part of a welcoming and supportive team, contributing to a community that offers residents an active and fulfilling lifestyle. From coordinating engaging programs to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference in residents’ lives while building strong relationships within a warm, people-first environment.

Reporting to the Village Manager,your key accountabilities in this role will include:

  • Supporting the day-to-day operations at the village
  • Implementing operational plans & projects
  • Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the village
  • Implementing company policies, strategies and plans to maintain residents’ satisfaction
  • Assisting with running of village events, social calendar and activities
  • Contributing to effective resident management to foster strong customer relationships and support delivery of village maintenance
  • Providing assistance with the preparation of budgets, financial processing and procurement
  • Supporting the provision of a safe working environment for all staff, contractors, visitors and residents.
Who You Are

Having a vibrant people-centric focus will see you thrive in this role, as will:

  • Having demonstrated experience working in a customer service role
  • An ability to balance different priorities and manage day-to-day expectations for the residents and their families
  • Previous experience working within a hospitality environment, highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience in complaint management and dispute resolution, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and professionally
  • Experience in roles focused oncommunity connection and engagement would be highly regarded
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Having a proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to resident wellbeing
  • Having excellent computer skills (confident with the use of Microsoft Office Suite and various online applications)
  • Having a genuine love for working with seniors
  • Having a compassionate nature, with a deep understanding of the unique needs of independent living seniors
  • Having a current First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate, or be willing to obtain
  • Willingness to learn and professionally develop, along with a proactive and can-do attitude.

Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of May-November, with supporting documentation prior to joining.
