Job summary

Ganley Group Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Venue Manager to oversee four bars within The Fifth Province, an authentic Irish pub in St Kilda. You will work with the Venue Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain brand standards, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires hospitality management experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are expected, with opportunities to advance within a premium

Qualifications

• Hospitality management experience, ideally in a pub or nightclub setting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Great customer service skills and the ability to resolve conflict and handle customer complaints effectively.
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think effectively on your feet.
• Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays including Christmas Day.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Venue Manager in managing day-to-day operations.

We are now seeking an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to help oversee 4 bars within our largest venue The Fifth Province; an authentic Irish pub in the heart of St Kilda. Warm, lively, and built for whatever the craic might be, The Fifth Province brings together proper pints, live music, sport, whiskey, and a welcoming atmosphere across the Public Bar, Whiskey Bar, Verandah, Beer Garden and newly opened Carriage Bar, a dedicated events space.

As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, staff management, customer service, inventory, and scheduling. You will work closely with the Venue Manager to ensure the smooth running of the business and provide exceptional service to our customers.

What you will be doing:

• Assisting the Venue Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the venue
• Overseeing the management of staff; sharing your knowledge through education and training as required
• Maintaining a consistent atmosphere that is on brand with the venue
• Ensuring the maintenance of our exceptional venue standards in relation to cleanliness and presentation
• Managing inventory and ordering supplies as required
• Assisting with scheduling staff and managing payroll
