Job summary

Ganley Group Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Venue Manager to oversee four bars within The Fifth Province, an authentic Irish pub in St Kilda. You will work with the Venue Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain brand standards, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires hospitality management experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are expected, with opportunities to advance within a premium

Qualifications

• Hospitality management experience, ideally in a pub or nightclub setting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Great customer service skills and the ability to resolve conflict and handle customer complaints effectively.
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think effectively on your feet.
• Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays including Christmas Day.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Venue Manager in managing day-to-day operations.
• Oversee staff management and education/training as required.
• Maintain a consistent atmosphere aligned with the venue brand.
• Ensure cleanliness and presentation meet venue standards.
• Manage inventory and ordering of supplies as needed.
• Assist with scheduling staff and payroll management.
